PS®
Enhanced security for individuals and property!
PS® is our range of anti-vandalism and intrusion-deterrent security glass. The laminated glass products in the PS® range are glazing units made up of two or more single sheets, adhered tightly together using interposed plastic films (PVB).They meet the requirements for the protection of individuals and of goods described in standard EN 356.
The range offers varying degrees of resistance:
| Security against vandalism | Intrusion deterrence |
| Vandalism is characterised by malicious, spontaneous and improvised actions. Vandals will therefore use parts of their bodies (fists, feet etc.) or objects that are to hand (stones, bottles etc.) to attempt to create a passage through the glazed opening. Such acts may be gratuitous (a deliberate desire to cause damage) or motivated by theft. The glass is classified as P1A to P5A in accordance with standard EN 356. Vandalism, an act which is initially non-premeditated, can lead to intrusion. | Intrusion is characterised by premeditated, malicious actions, which are therefore prepared for. Burglars will use specific items of equipment that have been prepared beforehand (axes, hammers, crowbars etc.) to attempt to create a passage through the glazed openings allowing them full passage through. The glass is classified as P6B to P8B in accordance with standard EN 356. Class P5A of vandalism resistance is usually considered to be acceptable for providing a basic class of resistance to intrusion. |
