Intrusion protection
Intrusion is characterised by premeditated, malicious act, which are therefore prepared for beforehand.
Burglars will use specific items of equipment that have been prepared beforehand (axes, hammers, crowbars etc.) to attempt to create a passage through glazed openings, allowing them full passage through. Glass is classified as P6B to P8B in accordance with standard EN 356. Class P5A of vandalism resistance is usually considered to be acceptable for providing a basic level of resistance to intrusion.
V2S offers two ranges of products which meet the requirements for protection against intrusion:
- PS®: the range of conventional laminated glass which meets all the requirements of each of the classes of the EN 356 standard
- Stop’Risk® CS: especially recommended in installations where the security requirements demand levels of performance which go beyond the standards. It offers exceptional resistance to attack, and is specifically designed for all locations where there is a high risk of burglary: jewellery and gem trades, art galleries, major stores, luxury dwellings etc.
